When a single man or woman wants to take a vacation, there are a lot of options. This is even more true if the single traveler is looking to meet other single people. There are a number of destinations that are ideal for singles seeking out other singles, with some closer to home than others.
Las Vegas
- Vegas is generally considered one of the best places for singles to travel to if they're looking to squeeze in a lot of fun into a very short period of time, according to Travel Toucan and The Travelers Zone. The city offers a large number of activities, including gambling, nightclubs, cabaret shows and more, and tourists tend to be the city's top priority. Since Vegas is home to several million people, and it's a popular vacation spot for singles anyway, you're bound to find a party that you can join in on sooner or later. It bears mentioning, though, that you should be careful not to go overboard, an activity that's completely possible in Las Vegas.
London
- The biggest city in Europe, sporting over 8 million warm bodies, London has something to offer almost everyone. Travel Toucan lists it as a top-ten location for singles. English is the common language, which makes it friendly to American travelers, but Travel Toucan indicates there are over 200 other languages commonly spoken in the city as well. There are numerous museums and historical spots throughout London, but there's also an active night life between the pubs and the clubs that can rival those of any other big city. It's a good idea to be familiar with the exchange rate before your trip, though, as the British pound may steal some of your buck's bang.
Cancun
- Cancun is reclaiming its place as one of the premiere travel destinations for singles who want to have fun. It made the top singles destinations list for Travel Toucan and The Travelers Zone for its sun, sand, modern conveniences and adventure activities---such as bungee jumping, parasailing to scuba diving. The waters are clear; the temperatures are tropical. Take your passport before you go, since you do need to show it at customs when entering and exiting the country by air.
