North Winds
- North Beach is just north of downtown Corpus Christi and nestled along the shores of Corpus Christi Bay. The beach provides views of the skyline and is steps away from the Texas State Aquarium and USS Lexington, a World War II aircraft carrier. Right on the beach, Radisson Hotel Corpus Christi Beach has a lobby bar with waterfront views and a beachfront pool with a swim-up cabana bar. While all of the guest rooms have private balconies, some also have sweeping panoramas of the bay. Pick up souvenirs and sundries at the hotel gift shop. Neighboring Quality Inn & Suites on the Beach has some rooms with whirlpool tubs and waterfront balconies. There’s also a massive outdoor pool along the beach, a kiddie pool and shuffleboard courts. The hotel serves free hot breakfast every morning and allows pets 20 pounds and under for a nightly fee.

- Based in downtown Corpus Christi, McGee Beach hugs the downtown sea wall and allows bay fishing along its jetties. Less than 15 minutes on foot from the beach, Omni Corpus Christi Hotel provides upscale accommodations, including some rooms with bay views, private saunas and balconies. Stay fit by visiting the heated outdoor swimming pool and indoor racquetball courts or grabbing a kit filled with weights and floor mats for in-room use. Hotel Corpus Christi Bayfront is only a 10-minute walk from McGee Beach and steps from the marina and Texas Surf Museum. Although the hotel is within walking distance to an assortment of restaurants and cafes, it also has an on-site coffeehouse and late-night Irish pub. The hotel’s own Sand Bar also has outdoor seating. You can rent beach buggies from the on-site gift shop. Both hotels are less than a five-minute drive from the beach.
Down by the Jetty
- North Packery Jetty is also on North Padre Island, just south of the Packery Channels. Facing the gulf, the beach provides beach volleyball courts and spots for surfing, saltwater fishing and kiteboarding. Enjoy complimentary continental breakfast or a dip in the outdoor swimming pool during your stay at Best Western on the Island. The hotel also has ample parking for large vehicles, such as buses, RVs and boats. Hampton Inn Corpus Christi - Padre Island serves a free hot breakfast in the morning. All of the rooms have microwaves and refrigerators as well. There’s also an indoor swimming pool and hot tub. The hotels are just five minutes from the beach by car.
