Branson, Missouri, sees seven million visitors annually. Recently, Branson became home to the world's largest Titanic museum attraction. Tours go through every 90 minutes on this ill-fated ship. Grand Country Square has been established in Branson for some time, and it features the world's largest banjo. The neck of this banjo measures 47 feet long and features five fiber optic strings. It is an exact replica of the banjo. Branson is home to many unique attractions.
Titanic Museum
Located on the west side of Highway 76, the Titanic museum is two years old. It's an attraction that stands out from the rest. The museum is designed similar to the Titanic ship, complete with water and an iceberg in the front of the display. A guide will give the tour, showing actual items from the Titanic. Other interesting things in the museum include the audio room, where guests can hear actual survivors of the wreck tell their stories. Take a stroll down the grand staircase, an exact replica of the original ship. Cooter's Place
- For those who are still fans of the "The Dukes of Hazzard," Branson offers a museum in the show's honor. On the east side of Highway 76 is a store devoted to the show. Cooter's Place, owned by the show's star Ben Jones, is a small museum featuring memories and merchandise from the show's run. Outside of the museum is a General Lee and a sheriff's car. Both of these cars are open and available for photos. The General features a car horn that plays the "Dixie" tune. Kids and adults alike can sit behind the wheel of the General and sound the horn.
