Tips
- Pack light and casual for your visit to Bali, as the heat and humidity persist year-round. Bring clothes that are easy to wash. The intense humidity may have you changing clothes often, and laundry facilities are hard to find.
- Take shorts, tank tops, sundresses, skirts and T-shirts made of cotton and linen to remain as cool as possible. Thongs or slip-on sandals are a must, as are walking shoes if you plan to do extensive sight-seeing.
- Bring lightweight pants, long skirts, long-sleeved shirts and a sweater for visits to the temples. You'll be required to keep your skin covered, and because some sites are high atop dormant volcanoes, such attire will keep you warm.
- Remember your beach attire: swimsuit, sunblock, sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat.
- Stash bug spray and mosquito repellent in your bag.
- Pack an electric converter and adapter.
